As we grow, Colours Studios is committed to more than just content — we’re committed to our community. Phase 1 of our long-term vision includes launching grassroots initiatives that support creativity, ownership, and wellness within Black communities.
Here’s what’s coming:
Creative Uplift Workshops
Free and low-cost workshops for aspiring filmmakers, podcasters, editors, and creatives — providing hands-on training, mentorship, and access to tools and resources often out of reach.
Youth StoryLab
A seasonal program designed for middle and high school students to explore storytelling, media, and entrepreneurship — helping the next generation find and own their voice.
Pop-Up Film & Culture Nights
Outdoor screenings, local artist showcases, and cultural conversations hosted in historically Black neighborhoods — bringing people together through storytelling, art, and food.
Creator Business Clinics
Partnering with Black business leaders, legal experts, and financial advisors to offer free consultations and workshops on building sustainable creative brands and navigating the business of content.
The Build-Out Begins
Our first step toward a larger creative campus and production hub, designed to serve as a safe space for innovation, collaboration, and cultural preservation.

Based in the heart of the South, we spotlight the culture, creativity, and complexities of Black life through short films, digital content, music, and live events. From documentaries and web series to podcasts and community-driven projects, our work reflects the richness of our people and the power of our voices.

Through intentional storytelling, innovative production, and a deep commitment to representation, Colours Studios exists to amplify underrepresented perspectives and shape narratives that inspire, educate, and spark dialogue across generations.
